This question may sound crazy but I really mean it . I always wondered how people define "right" . This has been the argument of my life . Our mythology defines something to be right if it's accepted by a wide class of people but during renaissance ideologies took a drastic turn . Things which were beneficial to a wide class of people are considered "right" .
Again it's the same question , how can u determine which is beneficial to everyone. As said by Che guevara " Leader of a Nation is a Terrorist to another ". So , we can not determine which is beneficial . So , "How to determine what is right ???" . Some take the easy way . Follow someone blindly .
Here comes the Million Dollar Question !! What if they are wrong and finally U are screwed up because of following them blindly ?? So , we just need to think and make our own decision ."Other's opinion should be a suggestion but never a decision" - Oscar Wilde. I always used to argue with my parents regarding this. There r three obvious reactions. They try to convince me if not they try to confuse me and the last unavoidable step they just skip the topic. But , finally they realized that I am getting somewhere. But , they aren't sure whether it is a good or not , Neither am I !!!
But , the final essence is " what you believe is going to matter" since nothing is absolutely "right" and it depends on one's perspective.
